Big Burns Supper + Kinmount Hotel
The wait was finally over, as Stoney Broke took to the stage for the first time in 2018, three times to be exact, across a busy weekend.
The Big Burns Supper festival in Dumfries has become a popular annual event, this year drawing high profile acts such as Bill Bailey, Donovan, and Eddi Reader, and it was fitting that this should mark the return to live action for Stoney Broke.
Friday 26th saw a 30 minute set as part of the Big Burns Supper Free Fringe, which included a host of local acts across 12 hours of live music.
A return to The Kinmount Hotel, Carrutherstown, Dumfries, was next on Saturday 27th, for the first full length show of the year. The near 2-hour set list crammed with tracks from "If It Ain't Broke...", popular favourites, and two brand new tracks (slide driven "I'll Be gone" and country tinged "When I met you (Something changed)") entertained the packed bar.
The final appearance for the weekend was back at The Big Burns Supper, this time for the Tartan Sunday Sessions. Opening the Festival Hub stage at 1pm, the 1-hour set was again filled with set-list regulars, and new material, which was well received by the festival crowd.
