Florence Folk and Roots festival

A top line up of talent took to the stage at Florence Arts Centre, Florence mine, Egremont all in the name of celebrating a mix of musical styles, and raising money to support the future of the Arts Centre.

Alongside Stoney Broke, and headline act The Black Guards, acts included Freyan, Tony Lambert, Stew Simpson, Anne-Marie McStraw, and Vortigern. A fantastic blend of folk, roots, blues, soul, and trad, all brought together by event curator, and Black Guards front man, Paul O'Halloran.

As the sun went down over Florence mine it was in no doubt that the day had been a huge success, with a future return visit for Stoney Broke to Florence Arts Centre already in the pipeline.

Here are some fantastic pictures from the day, with credit to Anne-Marie McStraw, and Jude Allen for taking the time to snap them!
