Verse/Chorus video #5

Welcome to the fifth video in the Stoney Broke "Verse/Chorus" video series! For this next video Stoney Broke has put together a version of a 1970's Rock classic track. For regulars of Stoney Broke live shows you may recognise this version as it has been part of the set list for some time.

Originally released in 1973, on the "Hello!" album, "Caroline" has been is the unmistakable, denim clad, heavy rock riff which has opened Status Quo's shows for years. Stoney Broke had this to say about the track:

"Quo were a huge influence as a kid wanting to be a rock guitar player. Last year I was looking at tracks which could be an alternative cover to add to my set list, and really wanted to add a Quo song. "Caroline" was originally written as a slow shuffle, and worked really well adapting the opening riff. It's a great song to play, and my own little tribute to Rossi, Parfitt, and Young!"

You can watch the original version at Live Aid here.
