Easter gigs and more!
The Easter long weekend has come to an end, and with scortching temperatures across the UK, the stages inside were also red hot!
On Friday Stoney Broke took to the stage at The Station, Annan, for the annual "Easterfest" festival, opening the busy weekend with an all energy set.
Saturday saw the, long awaited, return to Redcar Blues Club, in support to Cherry Lee Mewis (plus band). The brilliant sunshine across the North East, and North Yorkshire, didn't deter regular blues lovers, as a packed 50 minute set was greeted with calls for an encore. Cherry Lee then took to the stage to play her fantastic brand of Blues/Country/Americana which had the audience dancing, and singing, along.
The club has been a long standing supporter of fantastic talent, and also the local community. Check out their website for more details of upcoming shows.
The final Stoney Broke show of the weekend was another return, this time to The Quakerhouse, Darlington. The debut visit, in August 2018, was a great success and the two hour set list held the audience through sing-a-long tracks such as "Champagne, Lights, and Whiskey", recent single "Got It", and well worked covers "Caroline", "Man Of The World", and "Every woman I know (Crazy Bout An Automobile)". There is little time to catch breath as this Wednesday will see the release of part seven of the "Verse/Chorus" video series. Friday will be a return to Edinburgh, and Bannerman's Bar, as support to Mike Tramp (of White Lion/Freak of Nature). Then on Sunday, Stoney Broke will make his first appearance in Sheffield, at "Honey Bee Blues Club", in The Porter Cottage.
Below are some snaps from the weekend, and also the poster for upcoming Sheffield date. Remember to stop by on Wednesday for the new video!
